23rd of April 2009 – The Nan Hwa Marching band was invited to the Opening Ceremony of SRJK(C) Chinese National’s new classroom building to perform their 2009 programme.

Members gathered in bandroom that morning before departing to Chinese National, roughly a kilometre away from Nan Hwa, bringing along their equipment.

At about 8:00am, all members had arrived to the school. The event was held in the school field just in front of the assembly hall. The event saw a few V.I.P. guest from the Ministry of Education.

 

 

Before they started, the different sections of the band did their individual warm-up, then proceeded to have a brief run-through before the guests arrived.

The event started at 9:30am. The band was stationed in field already, all prepared and waiting.

After the welcoming announcement, all that were present were asked to stand in attention to sing the national anthem, Negaraku, as the band played the accompaniment. Soon after, it was time for the band to perform their 2009 programme, a total of 4 movements.

Once done, the band was provided with breakfast from Chinese National as the school continued with the event. After the members were done, the band packed-up and departed Chinese National.
