School’s Orientation Day 2009

5th of November, after most of the school exams are over, SMJK Nan Hwa opens its gates to the new batch of students of year 2010. Coming from several primary schools around town, a crowd of over 100 primary 6 students came to the School’s orientation day.

Apart from tours around the school, the students were treated to multiple performances presented by the many societies and clubs of the school, in their bid to attract potential new members. Among the performers, the Nan Hwa Band too had 2 songs to show. And at 9:00am, the band presented “I’d like to teach the world to sing” and “Moon on the Ruined Castle” to the group of students, followed by an introduction to our band and its activities. We hope that we can have the privilege of receiving potentially good members into our band next year while the veterans of the band graduate.

The event ended around 10a.m.
