6th of March 2010,weather is perfect for a day of sports.SMJK Nan Hwa held its 39th Sports Day and as usual the band is invited to perform.

 

At 7.30am, the band members are fully prepared with their smart uniforms and polished instruments. They are then gathered for a short warm up. After that, the band marched in to the school field and prepared to give it their best.
The band kicked off the event by performing the national anthem as all that are present sing in salute. After that, the band played 9 marches.

 

The marches are as the following:

1.Pentland Hills
2.Gagah Setia
3.Belphergor
4.Coast Guard
5.Parajurit
6.Hallo Bandung

 

As the the brass and wind flared their music, the many colourful uniform bodies of Nan Hwa march pass the VIP stand to give their salutation to the Board of Directors of the school.With the energetic melodies coming from the band, the uniform bodies, namely the school's 4 official sport teams, marched on with pride and valour, displaying their sportsman spirit with each step they make.

 

 

The event then continued with the ceremonial raising of the sports flag, accompanied by the band's flag-raising fanfare.
And soon, after all the speeches were given, it was time for the uniform bodies to march out of the field, and with that, the band played 3 more songs, which are:

 

7.Ketahanan Rakyat
8.Belia Beliawanis
9.TLDM March

 

The opening ceremony ended at around 9:30am.
